So. Moony is back with a brand new thread.

A pitiful attempt to get the RPG section back alive? You can call it whatever you want. But I intend to RP my brains out here so feel free to join me. :]

(As you can probably tell from the title, it's going to be a darker one.)

- - -

He could tell she was in a delicate mood.

Her normally fluid movements were sharp and decisive this morning, and there was a bitter sting to her voice as she told him to hurry up. After a moment's hesitation, he decided not to crack a joke; he would be in severe danger of losing a few limbs if he annoyed her while she was like this. Instead, he returned to the task of packing up his few belongings.

"Come on, Clash. We should've been out the door hours ago," she snapped, gloved hands resting on her hips.

Clash, a young tiger, looked up and gave her a leisurely smile. "Relax, Kit. We'll make it in time."

"Relax? Right. RIGHT. Relax and they'll quarantine us and bar us out from the cities even if we do make it out of here alive. And- for crying out loud, Clash- my name is SNOW." The white cat shook her head in irritation.

Clash didn't reply. Snow wasn't usually like this. But current circumstances had made things difficult. The strange Black Fog that had settled on city after city, leaving no survivors in its wake, had apparently chosen this place to claim its victims next. Those who inhaled the Fog were said to have died painful, bloody deaths as their bodies deteriorated from the inside. As soon as Snow had heard of the approach of the mysterious Fog, she had been eager to move on. But Clash hated getting up early...

"Oh, the things I do for you," he sighed. Snow rolled her eyes.

- - -

Contrary to what you may be thinking, I have no idea where this is going. n__n Meet up with my charas as they're leaving, I guess.

(Oh great! A new RPG!
Well, a new RPG, calls for something else...
A new character!)
grin

--------------------------

The Black Fog approached slowly, but ominously, bringing death in its wake.
Human scientists were desperately researching what was driving it, how it always seemed to head for the most populated areas..
How it seemed to have... Intelligence...
As if it were alive.

Standing on a hill, he watched the surge of darkness, as it killed everything.
These thoughts were passing his mind, and he still was no closer to finding the answer...
Though he had his suspicions.

His real name was of no importance, so he referred to himself as Vorgrota.
He had dedicated his life to aid other, weaker races...
Which was basically all of them.
You see... He was of the Black Arms.
An alien race, that, not long ago, attempted to destroy all of humanity...
As a result, very few willingly accepted his help.

He looked at the Black Fog sadly.
Then, he looked at the city it was heading for.
With a glum expression, he set off, to help the evacuation process...
Of course, he expected that he wouldn't exactly be welcome.

Welcome in, you guys. :] Let's make this a good one.
Interesting new character, Haunter. Can't wait to learn more about him.

- - -

"Oh, sorry. This is Clash," Snow replied, nodding toward the tiger, who looked at the stranger suspiciously. "Clash, this is Blaze. He's a friend of mine."

The two nonchalantly said their hellos and shook hands.

"So what's this about following the Fog?" Clash asked, raising a brow. "Most people are scrambling to get away from it." As if on cue, a couple carrying large suitcases weaved their way through the group and scurried out of the inn, no doubt because of the approaching killer.

"As I said, I'm tracking it to discover its destination. This isn't just some natural phenomenon," Blaze stated.

"...You think someone's controlling the Fog then? That someone is deliberately causing this massacre?" Snow looked incredulous, but Blaze nodded in reply.

"So are you with me?" he asked. "I could use some help."

The tiger and the kitten exchanged questioning glances, but before they could reach a consensus, a shriek was heard from near the entrance of the inn. "Leave! Your services are not welcome here!" a voice was saying. Wordlessly, the group of three went to see what was wrong.

(Oh, erm, thanks Liliana!)

---------------------------

He paused.
"... Crud."
He turned, and looked at the police, whose guns were aimed to his head.
Yes, it was one of the more advanced cities...
He frowned.
"Shouldn't you be evacuating? The Black Fog is coming this way, and you humans aren't exactly capable of fast movement..."
One of them narrowed his eyes.
"We are defending our post. No Fog is gonna change that.
We have a duty, unlike you alien scum..."
The Black Arm gave a small sigh.
Is was one of the patriotic ones...
"Listen humans, you may not want me here, and that's fine, but without my help... People will die.
And if you're so prepared to defend this city, then you should be helping civilians to evacuate, okay?"
The police officer frowned.
"And what makes you think that you could help, even if we wanted you?"
Wordlessly, the Black Arm held up a small device.
"A warp portal.
The main mode of transportation for the Black Arms.
This device can transport numerous people to safety.
All it requires are coordinates, a power source, and it works."
He passed the device to one of the police.
"The coordinates are already in place.
The civilians shall be transported to a military compound.
There, they should be safe for the time being..."
Then, the alien pointed to a nearby car, which had been abandoned.
"Simple connect the car's battery to the power outlet, and a gateway should boot up briefly, and appear.
It works like a wormhole, so go too close when open, and it sucks you in, whether you want to go or not...
Oh, and don't let too many in at once, unless you wish emerage inside-out, or with less limbs than you began with."
He paused.
"The rest of you, get going!
Find all civilians who cannot escape by themselves, and bring them to the gateway.
We mustn't let the Black Fog claim the number of victims it has previously. Get moving!!"
The Black Arm turned, opened its hand, and fired some sort of organic grappling-hook, catching hold of a street lamp.
With a tug, he swung himself through the air, releasd, and landed on the top of another.
He sniffed the air, and tasted a leak of adreneline...
Someone was afraid, no petrified.
The victim hadn't even experienced hormones, so would be young... A child.
They couldn't escape, they were never going to make it.
He paused, and, face grim, grappled to the wall of a building, and swung himself through the air, determined to save this human at least!

The three saw the black amr swinging away towards a child trapped on a roof. Like most they weren't sure if they coudl turs tthis alien. Blaze looked at the Black Arm and sniffed the air ti didn't have a dark aura.

"That alien has good intentions we shodu lelave him to his work." Blaze satetd. "we better get otu fo here so the fog doesn't hit us." The toher two nodded and blaze trnasofmre dinot his full dragon form Blaze wing. They hopped on hsi scaled back and flew towards a tall buidling. He flew to the top of it and aldned. After they got off he truned back to his normal form. "So ar eyo utwo gonna join me to find otu more about the fog. If you don't want to i'll drop you off at a very sparcley poultated area.. he sighed "It only goes for densely populated areas that's what makes em bleive it has a purpose."

He looked at the city and thoguht of the others. Each one of them had a large lab with the top scentists that was the only smilarity apart from the dnese population.
"hwoever it is doesn't wnat those labs functioning." Blaze decided in his mind. Yet he was waiting for a rpely form the two felines.

Clash and Snow exchanged sidelong glances.
"Your call," the tiger shrugged in reply to her questioning look. Snow scowled. She hated feeling responsible for dragging him into this sort of mess, and she was sure he knew it. He grinned, confirming her thoughts.

"Alright then," she sighed. "We'll come with you, Blaze."

"What's the game plan? Unless we want to look like last night's leftovers, it's best not to stay here for long," Clash reminded them.

Blaze thought for a moment, then replied, "There's still a little time left before the fog will settle in completely here. I want to investigate those labs." He pointed to the series of buildings to his left, which seemed considerably more modern than any of the other buildings in the city. "Whoever is controlling the Fog doesn't seem to be very fond of whatever those scientists are doing."

"Okay then," Clash smirked. "Kit?"

"I got it," Snow replied instantly, already figuring out a way to break into the high-tech facility.

"Excuse me..."

All three of them turned around, surprised to see the Black Arm standing in front of them.

"In case you haven't heard, the entire city is evacuating. Perhaps you should too."

Blaze frowned.
"We've got things to do."
The Black Arm looked over the dragon knight.
He was armed, and looked more than ready to take on an entire army.
The problem was, he wasn't taking on an army.
This was chemical warfare.
He paused.
"Well, so be it. Just..."
The alien looked somewhat frightening on first glimpse, but at this point, its face softened somewhat.
"Be careful, alright?"
Blaze paused, and nodded.
He could tell that, despite appearances, this life-form had a good heart.
The Black Arm then turned, and leapt from the roof.

Firing his organic grapple to another roof, he swung himself to another building.
He had to find the child, quickly!
He quickly sniffed the air again, and found that the trace was growing...
But not on the roof.
The trace had entered to actual building, so the child had gone indoors now.
He frowned.
This would make things more difficult...
Especially since the particular building was going to be the first to be hit by the Fog.
"Typical."

A RPG Story is just what SH needs. And, believe me, this is hardly a pathetic attempt. It helps a LOT. ^_^ Count me in!

Hmm... *grins*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"POWER...
PURE POWER!!
ARGHAHAHAHAHA!! "

A billowing, hazardous smog covered the nearby city. Moans of agony filled the air. Men, women and children were suffering, decomposing from the inside-out. Flesh seems to drip off their bones, crashing onto the city streets as acid. And those that were able and healthy were running for their lives towards another city. The city that Snow, Clash, Blaze and the Black Arm were located.

"GWARAHAHAHAHA!!
OH, YEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!
RUN... RUN... RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!! HARHARHAR!!
YOU WILL NEVER ESCAPE ME..."

From deep within the poisonous fume, a heinous spirit dwelled. Its only purpose was to destroy. All it desired was to kill. Watching its own ill-inflicting fog kill the lives of innocent people gave it a wicked satisfaction. It didn't know why. It just desired to do it again and again. This was the Black Fog!

___________________________________________________________

I kinda liked that. I've never played an enemy first. XD Lol, it gives you a reason to be afraid! O_O

(Ooh, cool... But the question is, is this spirit truly the master?
Or is it too, an underling, controlled by another?

Anyhow, nice to see ya FM5!)

----------------------

Not pausing, the Black Arm gave a quick glimpse at the approaching cataclysm in midair.
He didn't know what it was, or who was controlling it, but he was sure that it had more of a purpose than to merely decrease the population of this planet...
The Black Fog had hit another city, but hadn't stopped.
It seemed as if the city's demise was but merely an...
Accident.
The city had merely been in the way...

The Black Fog itself was heading straight for the city, at a considerable speed.
The evacuating people didn't stand a chance as they tried to flee, it caught up with them quickly.
They hit the ground, choking in their own blood, as their insides were torn apart, in a brutal way...

And this disaster was heading exactly for his destination.
In between swing, he thought.
It was almost too exact.
It seemed as if the Fog had the goal to reach the child who was trapped.
But why?
He grabbed another building, and with even greater force, flung himself through the air, skipping one roof, landing on the next.
He HAD to be fast...

Blaze looked at snow as she knocked a way into the buidling and smiled yet still a little worried. The fog was moving fast. He only hoped that this was the true reason. Afterall it was scentists that won wars nowadays.

Clash looke dbehind him the fog was in the road behind them.

"We have to get out of here the fog is almsost here." He stated. Blaze looked and saw the fog. He grabbed Snow and Clahs and flung them in the air before turning into Blazewing.

Blazewing looked at the city behind him with a heavy heart. He had not solved the problem and i nthe tiem they wasted they coudl have helped the black arm. As blazewing landed on a deserted moor he sighed.

"We failed my freinds and we fialed the black arm." Blaze sighed.

The office was quiet.
Chairs lay scattered here and there, pens were discarded on the desks.
Then, the shadow of something humanoid passed over the surfaces.

Through unseen eyes, the world was hazy, and seemed to squirm like a mirage.
Shadows and darkness made everything seem forboding.
EVERYTHING.

Pain... Agony... Despair... Loneliness...
And most of all, fear.
Fears echoed in the dark of their mind.
Terrible fears, like tose in nightmares... Only worse.
Feel... A pleasant light.
Hope...
HAD to find hope.
HAD to touch it...

A hand reached out, and grasped the knob of a door.
The hand was lifeless, dead.
The skin was thin, almost peeled off, exposing the veins and flesh beneath.
The breathing was unecessary, as the lungs had completely collapsed, but breathe this being did nonetheless.
Some habits just don't die...
However, needless to say, the breathing was different to the healthy, normal breaths, of your average life-form.
It whistled like a gale that was flowing over a cliff, an eerie howl...

--------------------

There was a smash.
Then, another.
On the third hit, rubble came down, and the Black Arm smashed through the ceiling.
Looking around, he couldn't see the child, but the child was DEFINATELY in this room.
He could smell the child's sweat.
He walked between, the rows of desks, eyes searching.
Then, he stopped, and listened.
Something was panting hard, short of breath, frightened.
He smirked, and ducked down.
And there it was.
A female human child, only 9 years old, and terrified.
His face softened.
The girl was small.
Her skin was so pale, she could blend in perfectly with chalk.
Her eyes were wide open, and had black rims beneath, and she was trembling.
He nodded.
"Come with me. I'll get you outta here."
She paused, then suddenly, and somewhat unexpectedly, wrapped her arms around his leg.
He was somewhat surprised.
He had expected it to be a bit more difficult than that...
They both stood up, and she swallowed.
"Please do, sir.
And... Quickly."
He nodded, and was about to turn, when he saw a sort of outline, through a decorative window, which made the figure somewhat hazy.
He paused.
"Who's that?"
The child spun around, and cried out in fear.
"Oh no! It's here!"
Before he could ask, the figure reached the door in.
Its hand extended, and the door opened with a click.

And that was a moment he'd never forget.
The door swung open, faster than he expected, and actually was flung off its hinges.
And, standing there, was a figure.
It was human, or seemed to be, but wore a black robe with a hood, and its face was completely covered with darkness.
In fact, the robe itself seemed to swirl, darkness covered it.
All that was visible of the form within, were its hands:
Two, horribly deformed hands, which looked as if they belonged to a body which had been buried for a week, then dug up again.
It breathed like an eerie wind, whistling into his hearing.
But, as soon as it had appeared, something else had entered.
Fear.
Terrifying images, of some of his greatest fears, echoed through his mind, and panic gripped his very bone.
The figure was slowly walking towards them, arm held in front, hand outstretched, grasping... Grasping... Grasping...

He was awoken by the girl tugging his arm.
"How do we get out?!"
The alien paused, then nodded.
Wordlessly, he grabbed the child in one arm, then jumped out through the hole he had made to get in.

Once out of that office, he felt better, but turning around, he felt worse.
The Black Fog was on them, merely 100 yards away, a thick black sea of darkness, advancing like a tank.
The race was on.
He turned back to the city, extended his hand, blasted fourth his grapple, and swung himself to the city streets.
As the Fog engulfed the building, he ran.
A human would never escape now.
But he wasn't a human.
He gasped as he began to leave the Fog behind.
Though he couldn't run forever, the warp gate would get them away, no problem.
He just hoped that he wouldn't run into a dead end, in this unfamiliar city...

(Great RPG!)

Blaze looked at the tow of them they also looked idsmayed. Suddnely blaze had an diea and hsi face hardened about to issue commands.

"SNow, Clash go the enxt major city rescue all of the scientists i must go help the black arm." Blaze ordered. The two felines nodded and dashed off towards the closest city. Blaze turned and faced the city his face stern as he saw the fog had almost covere dhte city. RUning form it he saw a balck speck.

Bla\ze took to the air and flew toward shte black amr as he flew ove rhe grnnae dtrthe black arm by his (claok robe something liek that) and chcuked him and the girl intot eh portla and followed after them.

Blaze flet the famialiar senstaion of being transported the fellnig of being torn apart and then it was over. He looked round he was in a military compound surrounded by hundreds of people. Him and the black arm stood out like sore thumbs.

"Thank you." The black arm whispered. Blaze smiled and looked at him giving him the traditional thumbs up.

"No problem i'm blaze the dragon knight who ar eyou my freind and why is this child so impotant." Blaze asked.
Vorgrota smirked.

"I am vorgrota of the black arms." He sated. "The fog was after this girl we hsould find a safe haven for her. Away form the cties." Blaze nodded and then relaised he had snet his two friend s on a wild goose chase. Oh well SNow liked helping peopel.

"We shoudl find ym friends then tkae this girl with us and weave a path ddoging the cities." Blaze decided. "We hsall lea dhte fog in a meery dance and find out why htis girl is so imporatant on the way." Vorgorta nodded and put the iglr on his shoulders and begna to wlak otwards the exit blaze beside him. All of the humans cowered iwth fear as they passe.d Blaze stared at them and laughed slighty. All tose itmes he had svae dhtme and they dsin't recognise him.

(Yay! You got his name right there! Well done!)

---------------------

Vorgrota lowered the child.
"You are capable of walking, am I correct?"
The girl, still in a state of shock, nodded.
"Erm, quite capable, yes sir."
He smiled.
Humans were truly incredible life-forms...
His face then set, however, when he remembered about those who hadn't made it...

---------------------

Back in the city, the officer who had powered up the portal looked over the city sadly.
The screams of terror were unbearable, and the death...
The majority of his group hadn't the guts to stay at their post, and had fled into the portal.
In fact, he was the only one left.
He looked at the portal.
He knew that it would suck in the Black Fog when reached, and kill all the survivors...
He stepped over to the battery powering it, and, with a grim face, disconnected.
The warp crackled, and cut out.
He turned, and as the Black Fog came, like a sugring storm of darkness itself, he paused.
And smiled.
And as the Fog engulfed him, so another tale of bravery was lost, left unknown...
But a hero does not care if his acts are remembered.

---------------------

Among the bodies of the dead, a lone figure walked.
A dark figure, that chilled the very air around it...

Searching... Always searching...
Feared every corner, every object...
In every object, a thousand fears.
The light... Hope...
Had to find... Hope... The light...

It inhaled and exhaled the Fog, but nothing happened, for it was beyond comprehension...

What was it?

It's good to be here! ^_^ And, yes, this is definitely a good story. Liliana, you should be proud! cheesy

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hmmm...how ammusing....", she says. Her crimson eyes slowly closed and then opened once more. Her silver claws curled as her hands formed fists. The breeze carried a unusual scent. The scent of rotting bodies. She stood there atop her house's roof. Several other cities had been left in ruin due to the Black Fog. Yet, her town, Moon Town, hadn't been touched.

The wind blew harshly, causing her dark gray cape to sway behind her. She had recently moved to Moon Town due to seperating from her friends and family. Now all she had was the folks in her eerie town. Of course, she didn't mind that at all. The Black Fog had destroyed other people, but she didn't have to care. For if she did care, that would mean she was human. She WASN'T human though. Not even close.

The sun shined on other cities, but not on Moon Town. The sun merely peeked through the dark gray clouds over the town. The light, however, made a strange red tint to the town. The light reflected gently off her dark blue and silver metal. "Yet, perhaps this is more of a tragedy for others. What was it that she told me to do?? Oh...yes, I remember. Very well, I suppose I could be helpful every once in awhile..." The robot turned and leaped off her rooftop. Landing on the cold, dusk sand of Moon Town, she dashed off with her Rocket Blast. The one known as Dark FM5 had set out to help other city people. Hopefully, being part machine, she would save many people.
